 » DespuĂ©s de haber trabajado mucho tiempo en los relaciones que existen entre el hombre y el animal, he sido intrigado por los mitos y las leyendas atados a una ave desaparecida desde hace tiempo: el dodo. En efecto, disponemos sĂłlo de pizcas flacas de conocimientos sobre este animal, gracias a algunos recitados y grabados, a veces contradictorios. Su historia continĂşa sin embargo suscitando interĂ©s e interrogatorios, tanto y si aunque se hizo un sĂ­mbolo. He sido tocado por la torpeza aparente de una ave a las alas atrofiadas, habiendo perdido la capacidad de volar, pero poseyendo a pesar de todo una fuerza y una fuerza que lo hacen un tipo de lazo entre el cielo y la tierra  »

rĂ©sine patine terre cuite  70x50x63 cm  » Having worked for a long time on the connections which exist between the man and the animal, I was intrigued by the myths and the legends attached to a bird disappeared since a long time: the dodo. We arrange indeed only thin fragments of knowledge on this animal, thanks to some narratives and engravings, sometimes contradictory. His story continues however to arouse interest and questionings, so much and so that it became a symbol. I was touched by the visible clumsiness of a wasted wings bird, having lost the capacity to fly, but possessing nevertheless a power and a strength which make him a kind of link between the sky and the earth «

résine patine terre cuite  70x50x63 cm «Après avoir longtemps travaillé sur les rapports qui existent entre l’homme et l’animal, j’ai été intrigué par les mythes et légendes attachés à un oiseau disparu depuis longtemps : le dodo. En effet, nous ne disposons que de maigres bribes de connaissances sur cet animal, grâce à quelques récits et gravures, parfois contradictoires. Son histoire continue cependant de susciter intérêt et questionnements, tant et si bien qu’il est devenu un symbole. J’ai été touché par l’apparente maladresse d’un oiseau aux ailes atrophiées, ayant perdu la capacité de voler, mais possédant malgré tout une puissance et une force qui en font une sorte de lien entre le ciel et la terre»
